AS A FIRST SEMESTER STEM STUDENT

 SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STEM STUDENT
       (G11) 1ST SEMESTER:

For students who graduated in the midst of the pandemic in grade 10, senior high school is a new stage and environment. Students have a difficult time deciding on and selecting a strand because there are so many factors to consider. This STEM strand focuses on the interconnected disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, which are all necessary for real-world applications.  It's exciting to be a student who chooses to study STEM, but it can also be difficult to adjust quickly. The new experiences in this strand will be full of hardships, frustration, confusion, enjoyment, and improvements for your future.

This strand differs from others in that it has a specialized subject that will improve and enhance each student's future development. The STEM strand emphasizes critical thinking, communication, creativity, skill collaboration, research, and problem-solving, all of which are skills that students will need in the future as well as in their chosen careers.

You will have 9 subjects in the first semester of this strand. The first subject you will encounter is Oral communication, which will focus on your development and improvement in various forms of communication. General Mathematics is the eighth subject, and Pre Calculus is the ninth. These subjects will help each student improve and broaden their knowledge, especially engineering students.

Being a STEM student is full of difficulties and challenges; however, despite these difficulties, we will have many happy moments and memories with all of the people who are supporting us as we pursue our careers. We will be able to interact with your classmates and teachers, who will guide and assist us in enhancing, improving, developing, and even becoming stronger to pursue our dreams. Being a student in this strand makes you stronger because you also survive and overcome obstacles every day, but you are also constantly moving closer to your dreams and career. Despite all of the difficulties in this strand, we will soon see progress and development, so believe that this challenge will soon be worthwhile.
